Growing up, I watched my parents build a custom draperies business from the ground up after my father returned from military service. He and my grandmother launched the company with determination, hard work, and a small business loan. Like many entrepreneurs, they poured everything they had into creating something meaningful for their family and community.
But despite their passion and work ethic, the business ultimately struggled due to limited resources, guidance, and strategic support. One of the defining moments in that downward spiral was leasing a storefront in a location that did not properly support the business. The right retail strategy — the right location, the right market analysis, the right guidance — could have changed everything.
